Remove image metadata
Remove private image metadata and reduce file size on your device. Preserve the original compressed image data without re-encoding.

Information supplied by the browser
The browser supplies the file name, size, MIME type and modification time below. These values are not necessarily embedded in the file.
Origin and recorded claims
Content Credentials found These are claims embedded in the file. The tool has not verified signatures, certificate trust or validation results recorded inside a claim.
No author, camera or software information was found in the fields read so far.

Choose what to remove
Each choice removes a complete block. One EXIF block may contain location, camera details, serial numbers and a thumbnail.
No removable blocks were found within this tool’s supported scope. File size may stay the same.

Detected information
Each tag appears once in its group. Open its details to see the tag name and original value.
No fields match the search and selected group.
Kept for correct display
Decoder structure, colors, orientation, transparency and animation are kept when needed. Color data may still include device descriptions or profile names.
Inspection scope
Binary data shows its size and a preview of up to 256 bytes. Text values are limited to 8192 characters and reports to 5000 fields. Limits and undecoded blocks are listed below.
Inspection limits
Coverage depends on the format and parser. Private manufacturer tags, encrypted files, old PDF revisions, information in the content and hidden data may not be read. A missing field does not prove that the file lacks that information. Values are displayed as text and never executed.
Usage and limits
How much smaller can the file become?
Only metadata bytes and extra data are removed. Large EXIF blocks, thumbnails or editing history can make a noticeable difference. Files with little metadata may stay the same size. The tool does not re-compress images to reach a target size.
Why keep orientation and color profiles?
Removing orientation can turn an image sideways. Removing a color profile can change its colors. When needed, the tool rebuilds minimal display EXIF and removes personal information from the original EXIF. Color profiles, image data, transparency and animation are preserved. Unsupported HDR, multiple-image or advanced structures are rejected to avoid losing content.
Does this remove every identifying trace?
Metadata removal cannot guarantee this. Faces, number plates, text, places, watermarks, hidden pixel data and sensor fingerprints may remain in the image itself. Downloaded files also get a name and timestamps on your device. Required color profiles may contain descriptions. The report lists what is kept.
Can the reader find every piece of information?
Coverage depends on the format and parser. Private manufacturer tags, encrypted files, old PDF revisions, information in the content and hidden data may not be read. A missing field does not prove that the file lacks that information. Values are displayed as text and never executed.
